Welfare Scheme for Domestic Workers

Following welfare schemes are run by the Maharashtra Domestic Welfare Board.

Janshree Bima Yojana

In the case of natural death of the beneficiary; legal heir gets the amount of Rs.30,000/-
In the case of accidental death of beneficiary; legal heir gets the amount of Rs.75,000/-
In the case of accidental permanent disablement; beneficiary get Rs.75,000/-
In the case of accidental partial disablement; beneficiary get Rs.37,500/-
Beneficiaries children studying in standard 9 to 12, I.T.I courses they get Rs.300/- per quarter (for maximum for 2 children’s)

Funeral Assistance

Funeral Assistance of Rs 2000/- to the legal heir of registered Domestic Worker. Till date board has settled 12 claims amounting Rs.24, 000/-

Skill development programme

Correspondence with concerned department is going on.

Maternity benefit

Maternity benefit of Rs 5000/- to the registered domestic worker. (Up to 2 deliveries)

Sanman Dhan Yojana

Sanman Dhan Yojana of Rs. 10,000/- to the registered Domestic Workers who has completed the age of 55 years on 01.08.2013. Till date Board has given a benefit to 1902 registered domestic workers amounting Rs.1, 90, 20,000/-

Training of foreign Languages

Correspondence with concerned department is going on.
